Damage Rehearsal No. 1 with Movable Pieces is a large-scale sculptural study and early iteration in the development of the Debris Simulation Kit. The work consists of a 30 × 60 inch black felt mat printed with modernist, minimalist lines that loosely suggest property lot divisions, along with 25 rearrangeable 3D-printed debris pieces representing categories such as vegetative debris, construction debris, machinery, architectural remnants, and furniture. There is no fixed arrangement for the pieces. The exhibited composition is a sample configuration that demonstrates one possible debris field, while the work itself remains open to rearrangement.
Note. If purchased, the owner may arrange and rearrange the debris pieces in any way they choose and as often as they want.
